Why STIp?
According to the World Health Organization, there are more than 1 million sexually transmitted infections (STIs) acquired everyday globally [1] and each year the number of new cases of curable STI has increased to 376 million [2] .
Most STIs are preventable. Learn more about their symptoms, ways of transmission and prevention so you can protect yourself and your partner from STIs. Untreated STIs can cause the disease to progress and will pose long-term health consequences to the infected individual.
Our STIp (STI projects) are organised to examine the burdens of infections, assess public awareness, and explore means of achieving effective prevention with a special focus in Hong Kong
