我們的研究團隊一直採取誇領域的研究方法,探討本地病毒性肝炎的流行情況,為制訂有效的公共衛生措施提供科研數據。我們的流行病學研究從疾病發生的時間、地點及人物等各方面入手,著力了解病毒性肝炎的分佈及相關的發病或感染因素。
- 甲型及乙型肝炎病毒感染
甲型及乙型肝炎是現時能靠疫苗預防的病毒性肝炎。2019 至2021 年間研究團隊透過一項全港性的住戶調查,向參與的家庭成員收集問卷及血液樣本作肝炎病毒抗原及抗體測試,以估算甲型及乙型肝炎在香港人口中的流行情況。研究結果涉及病毒性肝炎在本港人口中的分佈及風險因素,為制訂防控肝炎的公共衛生政策提供最新的資料。 - 丙型肝炎病毒感染
丙型肝炎病毒感染一直是注射毒品人士曾進行高風險行為的指標。從了解美沙酮診所附近的注射毒品人士的感染情況開始,我們的流行病學研究擴展至病毒的分子探究、空間分佈及多層分析等範疇,從而更深入了解注射毒品人士的感染風險。另外,與注射毒品無關的丙型肝炎病毒感染亦是研究團隊現正探討的研究課題。 - 戊型肝炎病毒感染
鑑於急性戊型肝炎病毒的感染數字在香港有所上升,研究團隊曾對各年齡組別及性別過去感染戊型肝炎病毒的情況進行研究,並評估感染的相關風險因素,特別針對部分較高感染風險或較易出現嚴重肝炎的群組。
